For those who suffer at home or office from allergies, breathing or respiratory problems, or if you notice dust inside your home or office, you should consider having your ventilation system cleaned.

Air Duct Cleaning

Your air duct is one of the essential systems in your home and it needs attention to work properly. When your air conditioner is running, especially during a hot day, it is important to keep your air duct clean. A cluttered air duct not only will cause mechanical problems, but also health problems.  Once your air duct has been cleaned and maintained you will also notice a change in your electricity and reduces energy consumption. If your air duct is full of debris, your AC system works harder.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

The dryer vent is connected to the machine and debris like fiber cloth, lint, and residues will build up over time and will clog your dryer vent. To prevent damage to both your dryer vent and your machine, it is important to have a professional perform dryer vent cleaning service.  A clean dryer vent will not only save you expensive repairs in the future, it will also prevent fires.  If left unattended, the lint that becomes trapped in the exhaust vent can pose a serious fire hazard.

If it has been some time since you had your dryer vent cleaned, please contact Service par Excellence at 1-877-472-4447 to schedule an appointment with us.  Not only will our services help make your dryer run more efficiently, it could significantly lessen the possibility of you experiencing a dryer related fire.  If you have noticed your machine is taking longer to thoroughly dry your clothes or it’s becoming increasingly hot while in use, it is probably time to call us for dryer vent cleaning.

Cleaning the lint trap in your dryer is a good practice, but it’s not enough to prevent a fire from sparking in your dryer vent. To keep your dryer efficient and safe, replace any vinyl or plastic flexible transition ducts between the dryer and the main vent (often located inside a wall) with semi-rigid metal transition duct.   Make sure the opening of the dryer vent pipe outside is free of any bushes, birds’ nests or other debris that accumulates over time.

Signs it’s time to clean your dryer vent

  • Clothing does not dry completely after a normal drying cycle
  • Clothing seems unusually hot to the touch after a complete drying cycle
  • More than a year has passed since the last dryer vent cleaning service
  • Debris is noticed within the outside dryer vent opening
  • Drying time for clothing takes longer than 35 to 40 minutes in duration
  • Excessive heat is noticed within the room in which the dryer is being operated
  • Large amounts of lint accumulate in the lint trap for the dryer during operation

HVAC Cleaning Services

It's important to get your HVAC system cleaned as well the duct work.  Cleaning either air duct/HVAC by itself is far less effective than cleaning them both at the same time. Dirty ducts can spread their debris and contaminants and clog the HVAC, and a dirty HVAC clogs up ducts rapidly.

Contaminants in the heating and cooling system cause it to work harder and shorten the life of your system. Although filters are used, the heating and cooling system still gets dirty through normal use. When an HVAC system is clean, it doesn’t have to work as hard to maintain the temperature you desire and as a result, less energy is used.

Through normal occupation in a building, we generate a great deal of contaminants and air pollutants, such as dander, dust, and chemicals. These contaminants are pulled into the HVAC system and re-circulated 5 to 7 times per day, on average and over time, this re-circulation causes a build-up of contaminants in the ductwork.

Bathroom Exhaust Duct Cleaning

Bathroom exhaust airflow, if blocked by any kind of debris, can significantly inhibit the removal of humid air from the bathroom. This creates a burden on the HVAC system and prevents the proper removal of water vapor.  If humid air is not properly exhausted, the vapor condenses on bathroom surfaces and provides a growth environment for biological contaminants such as mold. Service par Excellence professionals remove and clean airflow exhaust vents, fan blades, fan ductwork, fan plenum, and other related ductwork, including the outside protective screening.
